The Problem

The Ashbrook Housing Development consists of nineteen bungalows situated around a communal block and nineteen one or two bedroomed apartments with communal lounge and catering facilities. This development required an APS Severn Trent Water standard 2-pump Packaged Pumping Station with Multi-compartment Control Panel wall mounted in a bespoke kiosk.

Our Solution

All Pump Solutions liased with Severn Trent Water and Infrastruct CS Ltd to supply a fully factory fitted solution with ductile iron pipework and Flygt NP pumps installed in a Polyethelene Chamber complete with independent valve chamber. A wet land area was also created including a large manmade pond, which now provides an extensive and attractive area for the public’s enjoyment.


Sustainable/Environmental Issues

The developments benefited from several ‘renewables’ – Rain Water Harvesting and Solar Hot Water. All storm water from the development is held in several ponds in a ‘Wetlands’ Area, encouraging the growth of local fauna and flora whilst providing a pleasant backdrop and place for the residents to walk. The scheme was built to meet the requirements of Code For Sustainable Homes level 3. ‘Fabric first’ approach to compliance with the energy standards defined by the code criterion.


An area of land was donated to the local school providing them with an extended playing field.
